From Grandma's favorite rocker to the family dining table we have over 29 years of experience in antique and fine furniture restorations. Renovation Masters understands the art of refinishing. By combining old world methods and modern day techniques, we use specially formulated finishes, and stains to revitalize and restore your pieces to their original beauty.
The restoration process begins with careful disassembly of all furniture IE. hardware, glass, and any removable parts. Next the pieces are chemically hand stripped on all the finished surfaces including inside drawers and cabinets. After drying the pieces are hand sanded with most light scratches being removed and any dents and cracks filled. At this time any gluing is done or missing parts are fabricated in our wood shop. Now it's time for the finishing. After staining the pieces with the appropriate color the first sealer coat is sprayed on and allowed to dry overnight. Next the pieces are hand sanded with extra fine sand paper then another coat of finish or color toner is sprayed on. This process continues until five coats are applied with sanding between ever coat. Finial step is to clean or polish hardware and install, glass, and reassemble all parts.
